Seven games tonight, some crazy finishes.

Danbury 3, Binghamton 6

Another game in Binghamton where the Hat Tricks got out to a good start, but it was Binghamton who came out on top. Austin Thompson with two goals to lead all scorers. McCollum makes 42 saves.

Baton Rouge 3, Athens 4

The Zydeco kept it close, but it was Athens who came out on top. Where they stayed for most of the night. Greco with a goal in his return. Three assists for Shinkaruk. Malik Johnson gets credit for the winner.

Carolina 5, Blue Ridge 4

Carolina was up 2-1 after one. Then it was three unanswered by Blue Ridge, before three unanswered in the third by the Thunderbirds. Two goals for Panacek and two and an assist for Zach White, who also got the winner. Blue Ridge got a goal by rookie Milan Breczko. Josh Slegers, the big cat got one as well.

Venom 3, Columbus 2

One of the biggest upsets of the entire season. The Venom roll into Columbus, with everything that has transpired over the last week, and beat the River Dragons at home. Rahul Sharma makes 39 saves, while Clendenin Stewart has two goals, and Trey Fischer scores the eventual winner.

Port Huron 10, Motor City 3

Well, the Venom gain three points while the Rockers lose. Could’ve been a different story if different results happened last week. First pro goals for Drew Welsch (2) and Bobby Price. Five of Port Huron’s ten goals were scored by rookies.

Mississippi 2, Monroe 5

Mocs gain some ground on both Blue Ridge and Baton Rouge. Rex Moe with the winner, also goals for Anderson, Wilson, Asp and Bacon. Very feisty game, Liarakos did drop the mitts.

Watertown 6, Dashers 5

Game of the night. Dashers were up 3-0 after 25 minutes of play, before the Wolves came back. The teams traded the lead, before a tying goal late by Gaeta, and then with a second left, Trevor Lord stunned the crowd in Danville with a winner. Jhuwon Davis was hurt late in the third by a hit from Ian McDonald, who only got a fighting major for the fight with Chris Affinati. By all accounts, a tough officiated game that went against the Dashers.
