Let’s look at all four games tonight.
Game 2: Columbus 3, Athens 5 (Series Tied at 1)
The Lobsters get out in front early, and often. Two goals for Malik Johnson, plus an assist. Carter Shinkaruk got one and one, but he did get injured in the third, we’ll see if this keeps the Lobsters’ captain out of the lineup. Solid rebound for Lavalliere, with 29 saves.
Columbus got 37 saves from Trevor Babin and goals by Storjahan, Lind and JMac.
Game 3 tomorrow night from Athens.
Game 1: Danbury 3, Port Huron 6 (PHP leads 1-0)
Danbury got out to an early 2-0 lead at the start of the second, but the Prowlers stormed back with SIX unanswered goals. Welsch, Price, Lacny, Johnson all found the scoreboard, as did Reggie Millette with two goals of his own.
Connor McCollum was pulled after the sixth goal for Frankie McClendon despite making 34 saves. Reid Cooper got the start for the Prowlers, making 23 saves.
Do or die for the Rabbits tomorrow at 8pm from the DIA, we will be there for that one.
Game 1: Carolina 5, Blue Ridge 2 (CAR leads 1-0)
The Thunderbirds also got out to a quick lead, leading 3-0 after one. Two for Gus Ford, a goal for Kraemer, Jiri and Petr both got one each as well.
Blue Ridge got Greg Hussey back in goal, he made 21 saves but was pulled for Connor Green to start the third.
Mario Cavaliere had a big game in goal, he made 38 saves.
Game two tomorrow night from the Fairgrounds Arena.
Game 1: Binghamton 3, Watertown 2 (BIN leads 1-0)
This was the closest game all night. Binghamton led 2-0 after one on goals by Raemaekers and Yates. Watertown got within one by Lord’s goal in the 2nd, then Gaeta, 19 seconds into the third tied it.
But CJ Stubbs answered ten minutes later shorthanded, and the Black Bears held on to win 3-2 heading back home.
