In a press conference held at the Florence Center in Florence, SC. The FPHL will be making its first foray into South Carolina.

The team will be owned by Parker Moskal and his group. The team also announced that Kevin Szbad was traded to the franchise, and is their first official player.

Florence was formerly home of the Pee Dee Pride in the ECHL, and the Pee Dee Cyclones of the SPHL. It’ll be the first pro hockey team back in the city in 18 years.

Coming off of the success of the Monroe Moccasins, Florence was seen as a solid market for the league and is just under four hours from three other teams.

The team will be holding a name-the-team contest as it gets ready for the season, and have started their season ticket drive.

If there’s more information, we’ll be sure to update it here.

    Congratulations!!!

Who will you be using for your jerseys, socks and pant shells? Does a domestic manufacturer make sense? We are located in North Carolina.

I started working with the FPHL this season. I work with Carolina, Binghamton, Athens, Mississippi and the Motor City Rockers.

Our company, OT Sports, works in the FPHL, the SPHL, the ECHL and the AHL.

Can I email you some information?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.

    Dear Mr. Berman.

My wife and I moved to Myrtle Beach six years ago, we have been looking for a hockey team since moving from Toledo, Oh (Walleye) Since then. As season ticket holders for ten years, We are grrateful and thankful for this new opportunity.

I have a hockey back ground, playing in my younger years and coaching. If there is any way I can help this club get off the ground, I’d love to help. Again thanks for thinking of the fans.
