Pee Dee announces name as Ice Cats

The Pee Dee Pro Hockey team in Florence, SC has a name for the upcoming 2025-26 FPHL season. They will be the Pee Dee Ice Cats.

Ice Cats was the most popular name in the name the team contest according to team owner Parker Moskal.

The team unveiled an alternate logo, and have plans to reveal a primary logo in the future.

It will be the first professional team to take the name Ice Cats since the 2004-05 season, which was the last for the Worcester Ice Cats in the AHL.

    Where will the team practice? Will the team be supporting youth and adult hockey leagues?
